What each one is
Two different jobs.
px
px is one coach across Move, Mind and Fuel. It builds a plan from your pursuit, sets each day from your sleep, training, calendar and how you feel, and gives the reason for every change. Garmin connects to px directly: sign in once under Settings › Health & devices, and px reads your workouts, sleep, heart rate, steps, weight and body composition from then on.
Garmin Connect+
Garmin Connect+ is the paid tier of Garmin Connect, at $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year with a 30-day free trial. It adds Active Intelligence, which writes personalised insights on your Garmin data, a performance dashboard, expanded LiveTrack and extra coaching video. Garmin Coach, with its adaptive running and cycling plans, stays free, as does every reading the watch already took.

Which one
One, the other, or both.
Connect+, if you want more from the Garmin app
The dashboard, the live tracking, and a written read on each day’s numbers. For $69.99 a year it deepens the app you already open.
px, if you want the day decided across all of it
Training, mind and food planned together from what the Garmin measured and the day you have, with the reason. The Garmin keeps doing what it does; px adds the decision.
Both, easily
Nothing conflicts. Garmin measures and Connect+ reports; px reads the Garmin directly and makes the call. Many members run all three.
Using both
Garmin measures. px decides.
Connect Garmin under Settings › Health & devices › Manage devices in the px app. Sign in once, and from then on px reads your workouts, sleep, heart rate, steps, weight and body composition as the watch syncs. Garmin’s own scores, Training Readiness, Body Battery and HRV Status, stay in Garmin Connect; px sets your day from the readings behind them, against your own normal.
px withholds the readings and workouts that come from Garmin from every request it sends to its AI providers. The coach is told which readings were withheld, not what they said.
From px Insights
The decisions behind it.
Each morning’s call, worked through in writing: when the wearable says rest, when to train anyway, and how to tell tired from under-recovered.

Questions
Do I need Connect+ for px to read my Garmin?
No. px connects to Garmin directly, with the free Garmin account you already have. Connect+ changes what the Garmin app shows you, not what px can read.
Does px read Training Readiness or Body Battery?
px reads the workouts, sleep, heart rate, steps, weight and body composition Garmin shares. Garmin’s scores stay in Garmin’s app. The guides under Works with explain what to do when each one is low.
Will px and Garmin Coach fight over my plan?
px plans the day and explains it; a Garmin Coach plan plans the running. If you are mid-plan with Garmin Coach, finish it: the runs reach px as workouts and px plans the rest around them.

Tomorrow morning, already decided.
Seven days are free. By this time next week, px knows your normal.
